These are excellent condition set of German Great War Gas Mask Glasses with protective green painted metal case which is marked:

The paper label on the inside of the cover instructs the soldier on the proper wear for the glasses, so not to interfere with the protective functions of his gas mask. In addition, the soldier is instructed to wear the glasses at all times and not to remove the glasses while off duty. A replacement set of eye glasses straps along with a needle and three for repairs are stored in the bottom of the metal case.
